Seatkin handles personal data so you can verify your identity, share subscriptions safely, and receive payments. We treat that data as a responsibility, not an asset to monetize.

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

We collect the minimum data needed to operate the service:

• Account data: name, email, phone number, country, password hash.
• Identity data (KYC): government ID image and selfie, processed by a verified third-party identity provider.
• Payment data: tokenized card or mobile money references; we never store full card numbers.
• Activity data: groups you join, messages you send within the platform, ratings and disputes.
• Device data: IP address, device model, app version, used for security and fraud prevention.

We use your data only for the purposes below:

• Provide the service: matching, payments, payouts, notifications.
• Verify identity and prevent fraud, abuse, and money laundering.
• Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
• Improve the product through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

We share data only with vetted processors who help us run the service: payment providers, identity verification partners, cloud hosting, and customer support tools.

We do not sell your data. We do not share data with advertisers. We share with law enforcement only when legally required.

Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure operated by reputable cloud providers, primarily in regions close to your country of use.

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. KYC documents are retained for the legally required period.

Subject to local law, you can:

• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and personal data, except where we must retain it by law.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.

On the web, we use a small set of cookies to keep you signed in and to measure aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; some features will require you to sign in again afterwards.

Seatkin is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we will notify you in-app or by email and update the date at the top of this page.
