Account takeover is the boring threat that does the most damage. Five small habits raise the cost of attacking you by a lot.

Most Seatkin compromises do not start with sophisticated attacks. They start with a reused password or a phone-number SIM swap. Here are five things that close most of those doors. ## 1. Use a unique password Your Seatkin password should not appear on any other account. A password manager handles this for you. Free options work fine. ## 2. Verify your phone number A verified phone gives you a recovery path that does not depend on email. It also unlocks mobile money payouts. ## 3. Watch for unfamiliar device logins Seatkin emails you on every new login. If you see one you do not recognise, change your password immediately and sign out other sessions from the Security page. ## 4. Do not pay outside Seatkin If a group owner asks you to pay them by bank transfer or mobile money directly, walk away. Escrow only works inside the platform. ## 5. Report suspicious chat Tap the three-dot menu in any chat to report it. The trust team reviews every report within twenty-four hours. Small habits. Big difference.
